Do you know where is Croatia? Because, according to Google search for 2018, nobody else does. Luckily, I’m here to help to solve the mystery and teach you where is Croatia located.
In addition, I will reveal how to get to Croatia so you don’t have to Google it. Let me do the hard work for you.
But first, I want to say hello to all of my readers and fellow bloggers. It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything. I experienced a major blogger burnout and needed some time off. One thing lead to another, and it’s been almost a year since I stopped blogging about Croatia.
But now I’m back with tons of ideas to get this site going. BTW, I hope you like the new look of the blog.
We did travel across Croatia a lot this year so I will be sharing our adventures in future posts. Stay tune for insider travel tips!
OK, let’s get back to the most important question. Of course nobody googled what happened to Hello Croatia blog! In 2018, American nation was wondering “Where the heck is Croatia”?
Grab a cup of coffee and read on to find out.
I’ve stumbled across on this ( very interesting and shocking ) information when I was looking ideas for my new blog posts by searching Google trends. I’ve always found it amusing to turn to Google Gods and ask about a particular topic. But the answer sometimes isn’t what you hoped for.
Surprisingly, for me at least, the most searchable query including keyword “Croatia” in 2018 was “where is Croatia“. Furthermore, Google’s 2018 Year in Search reveals Croatia is the second of the most puzzling places people are looking for when starting searches with the term “where is.”
I was like whaaaat?? Is this a joke? First thing that crossed my mind was the fact that I’m writing a blog – travel blog to be exact, about a country that nobody knows where it is. Yet another blogging adventure waiting to be doomed. This is just “great”. I really nailed it this time.
Clearly, Croatia is popular but a total mystery to find.
I understand why someone would search “where is Pyeongchang” but “where is Croatia“? Seriously, guys!? No judgment here, but still…
If you were asking the same question, you’ll be glad to know you are not alone. Destinations like Croatia, for example, have been gaining in popularity as an alternative to crowded vacations in other European countries like Italy or France.
But, like many other Americans, you might not know where to actually find it on a map.
So let’s improve your geographical knowledge. First of all, for those who are not familiar with the country, Croatia is in Europe. That’s the simple answer.
But the more detailed answer is that it’s bordered by Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia.
Secondly, if you look on a map, it’s just across the Adriatic Sea from Italy.
Mystery solved. But want to know the best part? You didn’t just found out where is Croatia but you also found this terrific Croatia travel blog to follow. I hope you stick around and learn more about Croatia. It’s truly a hidden European gem. You should come to visit and decide for yourself.
If you wondering how to actually go to Croatia, here’s the tricky part. According to travelandleasuire.com, if you’re in the U.S., you won’t find any direct flights until June 2019 when American Airlines starts direct service between Philadelphia and Dubrovnik.
However, you can fly to any European city and catch a connecting flight to Croatia. In summer season, the frequency of flights is higher so you can depart directly towards Zagreb, Dubrovnik, Pula, Rijeka and Split. You can also take a ferry from various ports in Italy. Trust me, Croatia is worth the trip.
The tourist season in Croatia is between April and October, because of nice weather and beautiful panoramic views. Spring is the best time to travel in Croatia, especially in April and May, but summer season is the most popular. Croatia is known for having sensational beaches, paradise islands and party destinations, as well as beautiful places ideal for a peaceful getaway.
There are also many other things to do in the country famous by Game of Thrones. Many cities in Croatia, Dubrovnik and Zagreb particularly, have the most amazing historic architecture and excellent restaurants.
Or, if you’re in Split, be sure to visit Diocletian’s Palace, one of the best preserved monuments of the Roman architecture in the world. Nature lovers should also visit Krka Waterfalls and Plitvice Lakes National Park.
When it comes to accommodation in Croatia, in my humble opinion, booking.com offers the best service. Tourists can choose between variety of accommodations for every budget, from social youth hostels to luxury beach resorts and private villas.
Once you take the trip, you won’t just know exactly where is Croatia. But you’ll also have amazing photos to show off and memories to hold on – about the most beautiful hidden country in the world.
